Looking for activities to do with your child on a rainy day? Try making a paper plate umbrella with just a few items.
Supplies you will need:

- Paper plate.
- Download My Teaching Station Umbrella Template.
- Scissors.
- Paper glue.
- Blue and brown colored papper.
- Blue yarn.
- Blue paint.
- Paint brush.
Directions:
- Download and print Umbrella Template.
- Cut the paper plate in half.
- Trace the rain drops on the blue paper using the umbrella template print-out.
- Cut out the rain drops.
- Glue the rain drops on 5 or 6 small strips of yarn (3 to 4 inches long).
- Trace the umbrella handle the brown paper using the umbrella template print-out.
- Cut out the umbrella handle and glue it on the half plate.
- Glue the yarn strips on the back of the paper plate
- Paint the half paper plate using blue paint.
